About me

Hello. My name is Mariko. Thank you for visiting my blog.
I have been teaching Japanese online since 2022. I have taught over 2500 hours of lessons so far. I teach Japanese to people all over the world. I passed the exam to teach Japanese in 2019. I am currently studying Japanese language and Japanese language education at university.　
I like to travel, read and cook. Especially, I love to cook food for events. I also prefer to watch Japanese anime and American TV series!

My blog

I started writing this blog because many of the learners I teach like Japanese classics and I wanted them to have something to read about the classics. Since it is about the classics, the vocabulary is a bit difficult, but I think you will be able to understand most of the content. I hope you enjoy the world of Japanese classics.

My lesson

I offer lessons to beginners, intermediate learners, advanced learners and those who will take JLPT. I also teach business Japanese, including honorific expressions, since I worked as an accountant in a Japanese company. I use Zoom for my lesson.

☆Beginner’s Lesson
　I use “Minna no Nihongo”, “GENKI”, and “Irodori.”
　Many learners use “Irodori.” This is webtext which can be downloaded for free.

☆Intermediate lesson
　I am using “できる日本語,” but if there is another text you would like to use, please let me know.

☆Free Talk
　Let’s talk freely. Please let me know what you like. Sometimes you read Japanese websites together and talk about it.

☆JLPT Preparation
　I use “新完全マスター”, “日本語総まとめ”, “TRY”, or “スピードマスター (N1)”. Let me know what textbooks you have.

Application

One 50-minute lesson costs $25. I accept lesson packs of 50 minutes x 5 lessons. You are responsible for the bank transfer fee.
After the initial 30-minute free counseling session, you will decide whether to purchase a lesson pack.
